About
American Democracy Watch was founded by Frank Faiola, a political science student at Florida State University focused on democratic institutions, political behavior, and public accountability. He has also studied at Bridgewater State University and St. Lawrence University, bringing a broader academic perspective to the project.
His work includes published commentary in the Tallahassee Democrat examining the chilling effect of political expression at Florida State University, along with additional writing on platforms such as Medium and Daily Kos.

American Democracy Watch was created to actively track, analyze, and challenge political developments that affect democratic systems—primarily in the United States, while incorporating relevant global context. It is grounded in the belief that democracy demands scrutiny, not passive consumption.

All content is based on verifiable sources, with a clear emphasis on accuracy, transparency, and analytical rigor. The goal is not just to report events, but to interrogate power, expose institutional dynamics, and explain why these developments matter.

Frank plans to attend law school and is particularly interested in the intersection of law, institutions, and democratic stability. American Democracy Watch reflects that focus: a commitment to evidence-based analysis and a willingness to question authority wherever it operates.
